Since its launch in 2022, Battleground has set a new benchmark for amateur combat sports in India — the only event in the country governed by authorised regulatory bodies, shot on professional cameras, and recorded on Sherdog.
That last detail matters. Getting a fighter onto Sherdog means their record follows them. The world can see them. We started with 30 applicants and 16 fighters. By Season 4, 127 were competing for 50 spots.
